Dan Leavitt is a Denver native. He received the Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Denver, where he met his wife Anna. He is currently working on his doctorate at the University of Colorado. He has performed with such stars as Mel Torme, Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, Natalie Cole, Doc Severinsen, Diane Reeves, Niel Sedaka, Rosemary Clooney, Pearl Bailey, Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, John Denver, Dinah Shore, Bob Hope, Bernadette Peters, Kenny Rogers, etc. He has also performed in touring Broadway shows such as: "Phantom of the Opera", "Annie" with Martha Raye, "Annie Get Your Gun" with Marilu Henner and Tom Wopat, "Big", "Peter Pan" with Cathy Rigby, the Irish Tenors, the Moody Blues, the Canadian Brass, the Mannheim Steamroller and others. He performed five times for presidents of the United States. He is curently the assistant conductor of the Colorado Ballet and the orchestra director at Cherry Creek High School in Denver, Colorado.
