About Dan Leavitt

Dan Leavitt has excelled in numerous musical genres. He is currently on the faculities of Colorado Christian University and Metropoitain State College in Denver. As a performer he has played prinicipal trumpet with the Central City Opera and has performed with the Colorado Symphony and the Boulder Brass. He recently toured with Andrea Bocelli and has performed with many recording artists such as: Natalie Cole, Dave Brubeck, Barry Manilow, The Moody Blues, Ray Charles, Amy Grant, Charlie Daniels, John Denver, Rosemary Clooney, Bob Hope, Dinah Shore, Keny Rogers, Johnny Mathis, Leslie Uggams, Bernadette Peters, Niel Sedaka, The Irish Tenors, Dionne Warwick, Eartha Kitt, Charlie Pride, Doc Severinsen, Ron Miles, Richard Stolzman, Andre Watts, Aaron Copland, Mellisa Manchester and others. His compositions and arrangements have been performed and recorded in the U.S., Japan, Thailand, Africa, Europe and South America. He performs every summer in France and has taught at the Grenoble Jazz Camp in the French Alps.
